We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. 

 

The mission of Carrillo PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is to enrich the educational experience of all Carrillo Elementary students and to enhance the community of students, families, and staff. 

​

To that end, our main areas of focus are fundraising and community events. Depending on the level of donations in the previous year, our annual operating budget is around $150,000 and provides funding for reading intervention, classroom aides, program salaries, technology, classroom supplies, library books, music supplies, staff hospitality, STEM Lab, Running Club, Carrillo Garden, Educational Bees, PE support, assemblies, and other needs as they arise from gaps in the district budget.

 

Carrillo PTO and school administration share the belief that a strong community creates an environment where students are set up to thrive and succeed.  Therefore, PTO works hard to create a calendar of events for the school year that will bring students, staff and their families together to share experiences and create memories.
