Carrillo Elementary 5th Graders Are Exceptional!
It is their final year of elementary school and many have attended since Kindergarten or even earlier. To make their last year as memorable as possible we provide many activities to celebrate their accomplishments. Even further, we encourage their growth and transition into middle school with leadership opportunities.

Leadership
​
Have you ever seen students wearing blue vests around campus and during drop-off? Then you've seen our legendary "Blue Crew"! Becoming part of the Blue Crew gives 5th Graders the opportunity to take leadership roles on campus and show our younger students the values we hold as Carrillo Colts.
Celebrations
Carrillo 5th Graders are recognized throughout the year but celebrations really increase before the end of school! There are several parties and events that 5th Graders fundraise for throughout the year. In addition, the 5th Graders purchase a gift to leave at the school to remember the graduating class. Past gifts have included; re-fillable water station, friendship bench, digital marquee, Bolt the Colt costume, soccer goals, microphone and sound equipment (used for Flag Salutes, promotion and Carrillo Singers), plus several other items around the school.
Volunteer or Donate

To provide the opportunities to recognize and celebrate our graduating class, the 5th Grade Committee needs both financial contributions and volunteer help. This committee is separate from the Carrillo PTO and operates on its own budget. To make a donation, scan the Venmo code or send to @FifthGradeColts.
